Teacher Evaluation System: Goal Setting FormTeacher: Heather Russell
Supervisor: Robert Riley
School: Gorham Middle School
Date: Friday, November 14th
Teacher performance is evaluated regarding mutually agreed upon goals and plans of action designed to help the teacher meet the standards for all teachers in the district. The standards include:
Climate and Conditions for Learning
Teaching and Learning
School and Community Commitment to Learning
Professional Growth and Development
(see school board policy or teacher evaluation rubric for performance indicators that correspond to the teacher standards)
We encourage teachers to consolidate their goals and have them be consistent across administrative evaluation process, the certification and recertification process and staff development flex time study options. We strongly recommend that teachers work on no more than 3 goals during a evaluation cycle.
Goal (1) and Rationale:In accordance with the school-wide mandate, I will work constructively with my team and content area colleagues to design a simple, yet comprehensive SBR reporting system.
Actions to be taken:
Collaborate with team and content area teachers to identify power standards and the tools that will be used to assess student learning.
Meet with colleagues to share rubrics and engage in theory to practice conversations.
Research existing SBR systems to inform school practice.
Attend any professional development opportunities and read text about SBR teaching/learning, assessment, and reporting.
